dc.description.abstract | Lullabies play a major role in the sector of folk songs in folk literary types. It was visible that all the people who live in this world have a tradition of singing lullabies to make their babies to fall asleep. The village side Muslim women in Sri Lanka have been following this tradition throughout the history. According to that, this research becomes a critical view about folk lullabies of Sri Lankan Muslims. The main objective of this research is to reveal psychological thoughts that lie under these lullabies. Already recorded Sri Lankan Muslims’ lullabies in the books were mainly used as the source data of this research. Moreover, psychological and social approaches were applied in this research. Finally, the psychological related thoughts that reflect in the Words of the lullabies and its messages were identified. | en_US |
