An analysis of the use of nuclear weapons in the south Asian region

Title: An analysis of the use of nuclear weapons in the south Asian region
Authors: Fathima Benazir, A. W.
Abstract: The article examines the India-Pakistani nuclear arms race and its effect to the regional security in
South Asia today. The tenth anniversary of India and Pakistan’s 1998 nuclear tests enables scholars
to revisit the issue of South Asian proliferation with a decade of hindsight. In this article, I examine
two phases of Indo-Pakistani relations after the nuclear tests: the period from 1998 to 2002, from
2002 to 2008, and from 2008 forward. Nuclear weapons have had two destabilizing effects on the
South Asian security environment. First, nuclear weapons’ ability to shield Pakistan against an all-out
Indian retaliation and attract international attention to Pakistan’s dispute with India, encouraged
aggressive Pakistani behavior. Second, these crises have triggered significant changes in India’s
conventional military posture. Such developments may lead to future regional instability. This study
was carried out using secondary data method. Furthermore, this study is also based on the method of
descriptive analysis.

Title: Ways of knowledge in Indian philosophy - a view
Authors: Kanesarajah, K.
Abstract: Philosophy literally means ‘Love of wisdom’. In this context there are two major divisions of
philosophy such as, Eastern and Western philosophy. Eastern philosophy is closely associated with
religious beliefs and values. Whereas the western philosophical thoughts related with knowledge,
metaphysics, ethics and aesthetic as well. As far as the Indian philosophy is concerned which has
proposed a distinct approach about the origin of knowledge. In addition to reason and experience, the
Indian epistemology also emphasized testimony as one of the sources of knowledges. Hence in
ordered unlike the source of western epistemological sources of knowledge the Indian
epistemological family believes a separate entity called testimony also one of the commonest of the
sources of knowledge. In order to gain the proper logical reasoning logic itself playing a pivotal and
also lead a proper mode of thought. Further this paper is striving to bring out what short of strategy
the Indian thinkers had used to secure this method of thoughts to justify the proper mode of
knowledge. This research is based on secondary data based and qualitative based as well. The
necessary data for this research had obtained from relevant literature review, research essays and web
sites as well as for the research study both the analytical and critical methodology had been used.

Title: Physical, psychological and behavioral changes in covid-19 vaccinated persons: a study based on the area of Akkaraipattu
Authors: Ashfa, M. A. F.; Natha, A. F.; Inshaf Iqbal, M. I.; Mazahir, S. M. M.
Abstract: The corona virus has turned the world upside down for the past two years in today's technological
world where nothing is cosmic. Tens of thousands of people are dying and suffering from Corona
virus. So, Corona vaccines are being invented and distributed in many countries with the advice of
the World Health Organization to save the people from that virus. Corona vaccines have been given
in Sri Lanka for the last three months. Although the government is paying more attention to the
corona vaccine, people may find themselves in a state of confusion over the physical, psychological
and behavioral changes caused by the corona vaccine. Based on this, the study aims to determine the
physical, psychological and social / behavioral changes in those who have been vaccinated . In this
study, questionnaires were given to 75 rendemly selected candidates from Akkaraipattu area and
collected. Initial data were obtained from questionnaires, interviews, observations, and secondary
data were obtained from research subdivisions, WHO reports, web articles, and journals. The
findings of the study show that although most of those surveyed have indicated that the vaccine is
essential, it is feared that it may cause side effects. The study also found physical, psychological and
behavioral changes in those who were vaccinated. Most of them have physical changes such as
headache, fever, body aches and limb pain. Similarly, it can be seen that psychological changes have
taken place in more and more people, in which there have been changes such as fear and
apprehension, as well as positive changes with many behavioral changes. Therefore, the study also
identified general physical, psychological and behavioral changes in the corona vaccine.
