Authors: Yeaqub, M. D.
Abstract: There are so many languages in this world by which, we can speak or notice to communicate with
other people. Among them Arabic is a Semitic language that is rich in its morphology and syntax.
In old days, people are not familiar with this language. But, at present time, the users of it are
increased due to learn as a new language or do work with Arab countries. Arabic Language has
many complex grammar rules that may seem complicated to the average user or learner. In this
paper, we have shown how the user can develop or promote Modern Stander Arabic by using
Grammar Checker, which is called Arabic Grammar Checker. It plays a vital role in grammar
teaching. It can help the average user by checking his/her writings for major or minor grammatical
errors in a considered sentences like misspelled words, detect unknown words, grammatical errors
either syntactic or morphology etc. It also describes the problems for him/her and offers
suggestions for improvement. Its purpose is to extract patterns of grammatical rules from a
projective dependency grap in order to designate the appropriate syntax dependencies of sentences.
In addition, its implementation covers almost all regular Arabic grammar rules for non-vowelized
texts as well as partially or fully vowelized texts. It can also detect more than 94% of grammatical
errors and hint at their causes and possible correction. Therefore, the use of the Arabic grammar
checker can increase productivity and improve the quality of the text for anyone who writes Arabic

Authors: Abdullah, M. M. A.; Habeebullah, M. T.
Abstract: Imam Al-Ghazali is one of the Muslim scholars whose fame has flown in horizons and varied
knowledge and has provided enlightened services to various sciences, including philosophy,
education, and psychology, which have a strong relationship among them. Psychology is the
science in which a person's psychological trick is sought by thoughts, feelings, tendencies, desires,
memories, and emotions. On this basis, the study aims to analyze two chapters of Iḥyā′ 'Ulūm alDīn, namely “The Chapter of Ritual Acts and The chapter of Customs”, focusing on their contents
related to psychology and identifying their contemporary terminologies using the analytical and
inductive approach. The Study was concluded that Imam Al-Ghazali played an active role in the
development of psychology where he referred to several concepts related to modern psychology,
as it becomes clear through the contents of his famous Book Iḥyā′ 'Ulūm al-Dīn. This study is
perhaps the best evidence of the knowledge of the services provided by Muslim scholars in the
development of the humanities, especially psychology, which is widespread in the modern era.

Title: Role of Islamic studies teachers in combating radicalization among Muslim youth in Apapa-Iganmu, Lagos-Nigeria
Authors: Paramole; Haruna
Abstract: One of the forbidden acts in Islam that all Muslims, most especially Islamic Studies teachers, are
expected to discourage in the society is immorality. This can be done through many channels, such
as discouraging the act through curricular and extra-curricular activities. This paper, therefore,
contends that Islamic Studies teachers, like other stakeholders in Nigeria, have major roles to play
in the government’s fight against violent radicalism. In the process, the study examined key areas
wherein Islamic Studies teachers are capable of playing vital roles in proffering workable
solutions to the problem of violent radicalization, hooliganism and civil disorder in the society.
The data for this study were collected in Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA)
of Lagos State, with a view to appraising how Islamic Studies teachers could collaborate the efforts
of governments and parents, by eradicating violent radicalism in the society. The study adopts the
qualitative research method. Primary and secondary sources formed the fulcrum of materials
used. Selected stakeholders were personally interviewed. Also, participatory observations were
conducted in some areas of the LCDA. The study found out that the Islamic guiding principles are
sufficient to discourage Muslims from all forms of socio – moral and politico – economic vices
bedeviling the society. The study recommends, among others, that the government should give
necessary supports to the Islamic teachers towards their efforts in curbing radicalization, in
Apapa-Iganmu LCDA and by extension to the State in general.

Title: An analytical study of quranic Arabic schools in osogbo land, osun state, Nigeria: focus on mubarakah quranic/ Arabic schools
Authors: Kamorudeen, Busari Kehinde
Abstract: Writing about Qur'anic Arabic Schools in Yorubaland before the nineteenth century provides a
peculiar challenge as there was no Yorubaland until the nineteenth century when Islam had been
established in different towns that would be collectively referred to as Yorubaland. Nevertheless,
it is generally accepted that Yoruba is a Hausa name of Arabic origin which applied to the Oyo
people but in the 1840s, the Church Missionary Society adopted the name to describe peoples and
towns with geographical proximity, cultural affinity, identical religious belief and similar language
to the Oyo.The name has since been used conveniently with wide acceptance to describe these
peoples. Osogbo, the capital city of Osun State, is one of the towns in Yorubaland which enjoy a
strong presence of Quranic/Arabic Schools and Islamic influences. It is no gainsaying that
Quranic Schools are firmly established in Osogbo. The town is a custodian of a considerable
number of Quranic Schools also known as Kutaab and many Arabic institutes. The kutaaab are
usually established in Yorubaland as the first stage of Arabic learning and they play a significant
note in disseminating Quranic knowledge to Muslim Children. In any community where Islam is
being introduced, Quranic knowledge and Islamic teaching are taught simultaneously. A visit to
Osogbo and the view of a gigantic and well renovated Central Mosque beside the Ataoja’s palace
says it all that a significant number of Osogbo indigene and inhabitants of the town are Muslims.
In contemporary Osogbo, there are Quranic/Arabic Schools sited at the centre and in the nook
and cranny of the town. In fact, to say that Osogbo is fully populated by Muslims and that Islam is
firmly established in the town will be an understatement. This paper utilizes a qualitative research
methodology, data are mostly drawn from oral interviews, scholarly articles, Journals, archival
materials, dictionaries and relevant books.
