Abstract: In Sri Lanka, an increasing number of rice production technologies and&#xD;
management techniques have been introduced. Despite the introduction of the rice&#xD;
production technologies, rice production not reached a required level. This study&#xD;
therefore analysed factors associated with adoption of improved rice production&#xD;
technologies and the role of government in this regard. Random sampling technique was&#xD;
used in selecting one hundred and seventy-three (173) rice producers from Eastern&#xD;
province of Sri Lanka. Data were collected with the aid of a structured questionnaire,&#xD;
and interview guide and analysed using descriptive statistics with correlation and&#xD;
regression. The result obtained shows that 21% of government role explains in&#xD;
institutional supports, economic as well as political policies of the government and law&#xD;
enactment and enhancement. Further, 22% of government role impacted towards&#xD;
technology components such as technoware, humanware, orgaware and infoware&#xD;
adoptions. These key factors need to be taken into consideration when expanded program&#xD;
on technology components adoption is to be considered.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Factors influencing cloud computing adoption by SMEs in eastern region of Sri Lanka

Abstract: The paper presents the factors influencing the adoption of cloud&#xD;
computing in SMEs. ICT provides potential to SMEs because it seeks an&#xD;
innovative way to explore their business globally. To contact this research,&#xD;
eastern region’s 50 SMEs were selected and categorized into Small, Medium&#xD;
and large according to their capital intensity, turn over and number of&#xD;
employees. All together 13 small enterprises, 17 medium enterprises and 20&#xD;
large organizations were examined to arrive the conclusions. Four variables&#xD;
were selected from the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE)&#xD;
Framework such as firm size, top management support, security concern and&#xD;
technology readiness. Data were collected through the questionnaire and&#xD;
direct discussion. The finding shows that there is a positive relationship among&#xD;
the variables and willingness to adopt the cloud computing in SMEs. The&#xD;
significant impact was identified to adopt the cloud computing is top&#xD;
management support and technology</summary>

Abstract: The aims of the study is to focus the impact of social media among the&#xD;
university students. The research was contacted based on the students of South Eastern&#xD;
University of Sri Lanka. The students were selected by using stratified random&#xD;
sampling method. The Questionnaires were issued for the data collection and which&#xD;
data analyzed by the descriptive and correlation method. The result exposed social&#xD;
media impact the students in many ways. Among the selected media, the facebook is&#xD;
highly engage with the students and it is positively impact in their academic&#xD;
performance and increase their skills. They use media for various purpose within that&#xD;
they use to collect the notes, do researches and finding the jobs. From this they are&#xD;
finding some innovative ideas, get contact with high professionals and sharing their&#xD;
opinions freely. These things make them higher skillful person in their career. These&#xD;
changes will lead to them to become pioneer in the society.</summary>
