Authors: Sajeetha, Thavareesan
Abstract: An endeavor is made to advance the interaction between a general physician and a person via a smart phone application. This paper describes a tool with which we can improve the quality of treatment for patients using mobile application. The application, MyCare, runs on several Android based devices with Wi-Fi capability. This system allows users to conveniently record their measured health care data in their smart phones in a most convenient way and to track their long term health condition changes. Each time a person visits his or her physician, the data stored in his or her smart phone gets transferred to the health care service providers database wirelessly and enables the physician to easily get a clear picture of the patients health progress. Doctor’s instructions, prescriptions, guidelines and appointment details all can be written to the application in the smart phone and transferred to the health care service provider’s database wirelessly and the patient can review them leisurely. This system also enables users to check their wellness progress by representing their recorded data in the form of graphs and charts and can alert them on their prescription renewal dates. When patients record their daily health care data if the system notices any serious variation in the recorded data, it will automatically send a short message (SMS) briefly describing the abnormality in the data.</summary>

Authors: Madumanthi, Inushka; Nawaz, Samsudeen Sabraz
Abstract: Online banking is an Internet portal through which customers can use different kinds of banking services and has major effects on banking relationships. The main objective of this study is to describe undergraduates’ adoption of online banking in Sri Lanka by identifying factors that explain their intention to use online banking services in Sri Lanka. This study covered five universities in Sri Lanka with 245 respondents to printed questioners and online mail survey. Sample was selected conveniently. Correlation and regression analysis were carried out to understand the insights. Results indicate that the factors significantly influencing the Behavioral Intention to adopt online banking include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence and Bandwidth.</summary>

Authors: Abdul Haleem, Sulaima Lebbe; Nawaz, Samsudeen Sabraz
Abstract: The public bus transportation system has the direct impact on economic development of the country. Scheduling, tracking and monitoring the schedule of the public bus transportation is one of the major issues for any public transportation sector. Presently, there are many vehicle tracking systems are available using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technology. But there is no implementation at all buses in centralized scheduler. To keep track of buses in manual system is error-prone in the existing time keeping process by Time Keepers, and also this manual log is not being centralized to share with relevant authority and passengers. This project aims at designing a wireless sensor network that would identify and automatically provide the visual information for a real time movement of the public transport busses. The scheduler will dispatch data on arrival and departure with the bus ID and time-stamp from bus stops and passenger shelters along the bus route and it will report to the centralized scheduler. All these bus-stops and passenger shelters will be based on microcontrollers which is to be designed using the Arduino and RFID receiver. Bus will be equipped with front and rear tags. Detected RFID information will be sent through the Arduino and GSM / GPRS shields which are to be placed at the bus-stops into central scheduler, it will process the sensed raw data and will upload the derived coordinates on Google Maps, using Google Fusion tables. Administration and Passenger can check the real time movements over the web interfaces.</summary>
